How to use Johnny’s Pass
Rating locations on Johnny's Pass is pretty simple. Locations are rated on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being totally inaccessible and 5 being terrific, it could not be better. Throughout your review, if there are areas that you did not experience, say a bathroom - simply leave that section blank and move on.
In case you get hung up, we've assembled a list of categories and what we typically look for.
Parking
- Are there many handicap parking spots available?
- How close are those spots to the location?
- Did you have any trouble getting from your vehicle to the front door?
- Were ramps provided to gain access where necessary?
Access/Entry
- Are the entry doors automatic, or manual?
- How difficult was it to get in and out of the location?
Restrooms
- Is the bathroom door easily accessible?
- Is the bathroom large enough to get around with walkers, wheelchairs and powerchairs?
- Is there a handicap stall, and is it large enough?
- How accessible are the sinks?
- Are soap and towel dispensers within reach?
- Does the bathroom door swing inward or outward upon exit?
Tables
- Is there easy access for wheelchairs, powerchairs or walkers?
- Note the type of table it is. Large pedestal vs 4-legs.
- If only booths, is there enough room for a wheelchair or powerchair at the end of the table?
Overall Mobility
- How is the general ease of getting around?
- Is there room to move in between tables, chairs, down aisles, etc?
- Are there ramps and elevators where necessary?
- Any significant inclines or declines to know about?
