Hewitt Public Library

This is the library’s new building (as of April, 2016). Does not have automatic doors. When I asked about that, librarian said that there were automatic doors in original building plan, but they were taken out because it was not an ADA requirement. :( Other than that, everything else was pretty good. There were at least four handicap spots, conveniently located with van access. There was a family restroom near the story room/city hall meeting room. Aisles were nice and wide. There is an outside area with a large patio that is accessible. However, there is also a garden and the garden path is not made of material that is accessible.
