One of our favorite hangouts in Grand Rapids. There is almost always a handicapped parking space available. They also have van-accessible spaces. The automatic doors always work. Our wheelchair can roll under the tables. There are bathrooms on both floors, but it’s worth it to seek out the family bathrooms in the back of the children’s section on the ground level. You can lock those and have privacy. You can’t do that with the first floor bathrooms. The library has an open floor plan, so it’s easy to get around. And it’s easy to roll out onto the patio, and enjoy the view of Reed’s Lake. As a bonus, they are fine with you bringing in coffee and we have eaten lunch before in the lobby and no one has minded.
